Dr. Jillian White

I’m Jillian White, a passionate veterinarian with a love for animals and a thirst for adventure. Born in Norfolk, VA and later moving to Virginia Beach’s oceanfront at the age of six, I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of nature and the wonders it holds.

Growing up, I immersed myself in various activities, including playing the piano, soccer, and dance. Additionally, my household was filled with the joy of four adorable mini dachshunds named Snax, Scooter, Minnie, and Peanut. Their presence instilled in me a deep appreciation for the unconditional love and companionship that animals bring into our lives.

As I matured, my love for the beach, boating, and concerts grew, along with a passion for exploring new places through travel. These experiences have broadened my horizons and allowed me to embrace diverse cultures and lifestyles.

My education journey began at Cape Henry Collegiate, where I completed both middle and high school. Continuing my pursuit of knowledge, I attended Virginia Tech for my undergraduate studies. Later, I embarked on an unforgettable adventure, earning my veterinary degree with honors from Ross Veterinary School in St. Kitts.

During my time in veterinary school, I discovered a newfound love for scuba diving. Exploring the depths of the ocean and witnessing its vibrant marine life was an awe-inspiring experience. Moreover, I actively volunteered to provide free veterinary care to locals, focusing on education about prevention, vaccination, responsible pet ownership, and the importance of using leashes during walks. These endeavors not only allowed me to give back to the community but also forged lifelong friendships with like-minded individuals who share my passion for animal welfare.

In terms of veterinary specialization, I have developed a strong interest in oncology. I am committed to expanding my knowledge and expertise in this field by pursuing continuous education opportunities and staying up to date with the latest advancements. By doing so, I aim to provide the highest quality care and support to both the animals and their human companions during their journey towards recovery.

Allow me to introduce my faithful companion, Piper! I adopted her during my senior year of college from the Roanoke SPCA, and she has been my loyal sidekick ever since. Together, we have embarked on countless adventures, from my undergraduate years to veterinary school in St. Kitts and even my clinical year in Illinois. Piper’s unwavering presence has brought immeasurable joy to my life and serves as a constant reminder of the deep bond we share with our furry friends.

I hope that through my experiences, knowledge, and dedication, I can make a positive impact on the lives of animals and the people who love them.
