Dr. Ann Ayre

Dr. Ayre has been with Owl Creek Veterinary Hospital since November 2000. She has been the hospitals Managing Veterinarian since June 2001. Dr. Ayre is originally from Toronto, Ontario and graduated with honors from the University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College in 1993. Dr. Ayre worked in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia from 1993 until 1999. Dr. Ayre has a special interest in animal dentistry, and has taken courses in advanced dental care and surgery. She has an english springer spaniel, Maggie; a golden retriever, Jake; two english cocker spaniels, Ollie and Lilly; and 3 horses; Johnny Appleseed, Ace, and Grace. Away from the clinic Dr. Ayre enjoys spending time with her husband Todd and their four girls; Sarah, Emma, Madelyn, and Kate.

Dr. Dawn Johnson

Dr. Johnson interrupted her college studies to join the U.S. Army where she obtained her paratrooper wings and returned a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. Upon completion of her military commitment, she returned to UNC-Charlotte and obtained her BS in Biology. In 2009, Dr. Johnson graduated from Mississippi State University -College of Veterinary Medicine and began practicing in Richmond. Within 2 years, Dr. Johnson was recruited to work in Yorktown where she practiced for 3 years prior to joining Owl Creek Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Johnson has special interests in geriatric medicine, anesthesia, and ophthalmology.

She is the proud owner of Pipp, her 13 year old cat, who helped raise her Rottweiler named Andros. During her time away from work, she enjoys training for triathlons, rock climbing, and outdoor activities with her puppy.
