Dr. Ann Ayre
Dr. Ayre has been with Owl Creek Veterinary Hospital since November 2000. She has been the hospitals Managing Veterinarian since June 2001. Dr. Ayre is originally from Toronto, Ontario and graduated with honors from the University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College in 1993. Dr. Ayre worked in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia from 1993 until 1999. Dr. Ayre has a special interest in animal dentistry, and has taken courses in advanced dental care and surgery. She has an english springer spaniel, Maggie; a golden retriever, Jake; two english cocker spaniels, Ollie and Lilly; and 3 horses; Johnny Appleseed, Ace, and Grace. Away from the clinic Dr. Ayre enjoys spending time with her husband Todd and their four girls; Sarah, Emma, Madelyn, and Kate.

Dr. Rebecca Marr
Dr. Rebecca Marr is Owl Creekâs newest veterinarian on staff. She started working here as a relief veterinarian and accepted a full time position with us. She has worked as a small animal practitioner in the Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Suffolk area for over 7 years and worked for 1 and a half years in Dover, Ohio near Amish country. She graduated from The Ohio State University with her doctorate of veterinary medicine in June 2002. She has a 10 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback / Pitbull mix named Beauty and a 1 year old tabby cat named Sophie. She lives in Kempsville and enjoys taking her Kayak out from her backyard on the Elizabeth River and is a novice practitioner of hot yoga.
